I watched this the other night...and I'm sure glad I waited for this one. (LOL) I mean, when I first heard of this...this was supposed to be the next Harry Potter...ahhh, after watching this...I don't think so. (LOL) Don't get me wrong...if your under 14 years old...you'd like it. The special effects were ok...

I just couldn't get past Pierce Brosnan being a Centaur (yeah...half man, half horse), BUT...there was one thing I liked about it...ROSARIO DAWSON. She always makes me smile!

Look...if your looking for something your kids to watch...get it for them...if not...don't waste your time.

Mike's Netflix Movie Review - Let the Right One In

I know some of ya’ll know…I’m patiently waiting for the release of LET ME IN (October 1). I can’t wait for this movie! My online bud, Prinz Lee saw this and said, “Mike, have you seen the Swedish film, LET THE RIGHT ONE IN? It’s the original film to LET ME IN.”…and I said… “Nope…do tell Prinz Lee.”…and he said… “Just watch it.”

So I did…and the movie’s perfect…and it’s totally on Netflix.

In the original…it about a 12 yr. old boy named, Oskar…this kid pretty much hates his life. He’s got no friends…and it picked on by these little shits. BUT, one night…a man moves in next door…and has a lovely, cute, little daughter named, Eli. They become friends…and teach each other different things (you’ll see when you watch it). You can pretty much tell what happens by watching the trailer…so I don’t wanna give away too much. All I know is…LET THE RIGHT ONE IN is totally worth watching. The connection these two kids have…and what happens in the end. I wish I had a friend like Eli!

Now, I’m not sure how the remake (LET ME IN) will compare to this one…but who cares. I’m still watching it.

I give LET THE RIGHT ONE IN…4 out of 5 POPCORNS!

Mike's Netflix Movie Review - American Zombie

While lying in bed the other night…I watched a Netflix flick on my iPhone…that movie was AMERICAN ZOMBIE. Now, keep in mind…I had no idea what I was getting into…I saw the word zombie and hit play. The movie’s about two film makers…who decide to team up and make a documentary film about the zombie living in Los Angeles. YES…I said it. LIVING in Los Angeles. Zombies have now become a part of everyday life. The film crew follows a couple of zombies and shows how they struggle with humans.

Ok…while watching this…I was thinking to myself… “Dear Lil Baby Jesus…please make this movie end.” But…I stayed with it…and watched it all the way to the end.

After it finished…I let it soak in my brain…and…it wasn’t all that bad. Slow…it was slow…but not that bad. If you’re a zombie fan…it’s worth checking out…it definitely shows zombies in a whole different light. (LOL)

I give AMERICAN ZOMBIE…2 ½ out of 5 POPCORNS!

Yes…I watched BACHELOR PARTY IN BUGALOW OF THE DAMNED…I’d watch anything and everything. (LOL)

WOWWW…this movie. SUCKED.

…and yep, I watched the entire thing. It’s about a group of guys…who get together for a bachelor party. The best man calls in for some strippers for a little entertainment. Well, these strippers end up being vampires. (LOL) Honestly, they would have made better demons. (LOL) The vampires go on a killing spree and it’s up to the best man…and fiancé to find and KILL the main vampire. (LOL)

Yeah…this movie was wack…so…don’t waste your time.

Mike's Movie Review - The Last Exorcism

THE LAST EXORCISM…what to say about this one.
FIRST people…let’s remember…this movie’s PG13. Yes…PG13. I think some people are forgetting that when spreading their views on this movie. (LOL)

What did you expect?
How possessed did you think this girl would be…in a PG13 flick? (LOL)

If you haven’t seen THE LAST EXORCISM…it’s about this big city preacher…who pretty much tells a documentary film crew…that exorcisms aren’t real. Of course the film crew would like to see for themselves…so the preacher invites them to tag along with him to his next “gig.” The preacher and crew are invited to the Sweetzers farm…where a girl named, Nell…ahhh…seems to have some problems. (wink, wink) Her dad is convinced that the devil’s in her and insists the preacher perform an exorcism. He does…but before that happens…he shows the film crew all his “tricks”…and eventually makes the dad and brother THINK it’s all real.

This is where it gets a little crazy.

That same night…this crazy girl shows up at the preachers and film crews hotel…and all hell breaks loose…THE LAST EXORCISM…takes you on a little ride.

Your trying to find out if Nell’s really possessed? Or is she just crazy. Is her dad having sex with her? Or did a gay kid get her pregnant? Or even the towns church preacher do tha nasty with her? Remember…it’s PG13. You might hear people talk about the ending…and how it’s wack…but, if you’re a fan of the BLAIR WITCH PROJECT…you’ll get THE LAST EXORCISM.

For what it’s worth…it’s not a bad PG13 movie. Hey…it cost like 1.8 million to make…and has already made like 33.5 million. (SOME people seem to like it.) LOL

I give…THE LAST EXORCISM…3 out of 5 POPCORNS!

Mike's Netflix Movie Review - City of the Dead

People…I saw this the other night…CITY OF THE DEAD…from Lucio Fulci.
I was feeling zombies that night…and thought to myself, “Mike…City of the Dead…gotta be about zombies.” BOY…was I wrong…well, semi-wrong. There were zombies…but not MY kind of zombies. (LOL)
I’m sorry…but this movie was wack…DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!
It started off with a séance…then some priest kills himself…and comes back as some zombie leader. He pretty much walks around this little town killing people…along with some help from these weird zombie people.
…like I said. WACK! The special effects are a little nuts…over the top stuff…and the end scene is REALLY bad. (like you wanna laugh)

I give CITY OF THE DEAD…1 out of 5 POPCORNS. (It just wasn’t for me)

Mike's Netflix Movie Review - Pirate Radio

It’s time for another Netflix movie review. PIRATE RADIO…it came out in 2009 and I wish I would have seen this in the theater when I had the chance. The movie takes place in 1966…British DJs are broadcasting their radio shows from the middle of the ocean…see…their Rock n Roll music has been banned from the people…and this is the only way it can be done. Everything seems pretty cool…but then this politician dude wants it stopped for the Queen…and the hunt to make it stop begins!

PIRATE RADIO is hilarious! It’s got a funny ass cast…and a GREAT SOUNDTRACK…a GREAT soundtrack. The soundtrack alone…is a reason to watch the movie. (LOL)
If you’re looking for something good to watch…order this baby!

Mike and Mom at the Movies - MACHETE - Movie Review (Video)

Yes…Mom and I had another adventure this morning. MACHETE. (She insisted going before noon…$5 tickets.)

MACHETE is a pretty simple story.

Drug lord wants to take over everything…Machete can’t be bought…drug lord kills Machete’s wife and daughter. After 3 years of roaming the streets of Texas…Machete is hired by a crooked politician dude…this dude wants Machete to assassinate a US Senator – Machete gets double crossed and set up!!! While trying to stay away from the cops – he’s also being hunted by assassins AND the drug lord who killed his family!
Once Machete realizes who’s all behind everything…HE GOES ON A KILLING SPREE FOR REVENGE! (Love it!) DRUG LORD WATCH OUT!

Like I said in the vlog – this movie is great. (As long as you’re a fan of these type of movies) It’s got a GREAT cast…Danny Trejo is great at being a bad ass, Steven Segal is da man, Michelle Rodriguez is smokin’, Cheech Marin is funny as hell, Jessica Alba is slammin’, Robert De Niro…ahhhh….it’s Robert De Niro…and FINALLY…Miss Lindsay Lohan…she even does sweet job. (I still like her more as a red head)

People…be prepared for over the top violence…heads being chopped off, knives stuck in heads, arms being chopped off…it’s got everything!! It’s my kind of movie! (AND…who was that girl in the beginning?!)

I give MACHETE…4 out of 5 POPCORNS!
