TORONTO, AUGUST 25th, 2009
On October 6th, 2009, Toronto emcee Famous is set to release Goddess Girl - the follow-up project to his critically acclaimed debut The I RAP NOW EP. Goddess Girl is a short film written and directed by new filmmakers A&R (Ashton “Famous” Bishop and Reza “rez DigitaL” Dahya) as well as a soundtrack produced by Toronto beat-makers Burd & Keyz which features 8 new Famous songs.

Goddess Girl: The Movie is split up into 8 short scenes. Scenes will be released weekly over an 8-week period - each featuring a snippet of a different song from the soundtrack. The scenes are imagery only but compliment the tone of the accompanying song. When all linked together they tell the intriguing story of the “Goddess Girl”. The main focus of each scene is to visually compliment the featured song and to drive the viewer to download the full song via the new website which launches on September 1st, 2009.

“We wanted a creative way to release music online”, says Famous, a 2009 Juno, MMVA and Stylus award nominee. “Realistically, I’ve only released 5 songs and a couple of remixes and we’ve already accomplished so much. We wanted a project that stood apart from what we’ve already done but still stands up to the level of creativity and quality expected from a Famous project. I think we’ve accomplished that with Goddess Girl, if not exceeded it.” “This is an unprecedented viral marketing campaign that is sure to have the net buzzing”, adds rez.

As one half of the new directorial team A&R, Goddess Girl also marks a new creative beginning for Famous who is anticipating his entry into the world of TV and film. “I’ve always been an entertainer so film and television is just a natural growth for me. Goddess Girl is a great start for A&R behind the scenes and for me as an actor. I’m definitely looking forward to whatever our next project will be and am excited to continue to get my feet wet in the acting world”, he says.

Launching his music career in January of 2008, Famous has quickly become one of the most exciting new artists in music. His debut Juno-nominated 5-track project The I RAP NOW EP featured 5 official music videos, one of which (“Ain’t No Use”) was nominated for a MuchMusic Video Award in 2009. Since the launch of the project Famous has been featured in Hip Hop Weekly Magazine,,, MuchMusic, RaptorsTV, CityNews, The National Post, The Toronto Star, Creamworld Magazine and more. Famous has opened for Nas and Bow Wow live in concert and is one of the most high-in-demand club MCs in Toronto. For more information visit and

The Fourth Kind - Movie News

This movie's going to be off tha chain! There's some freaky chit here! Mysapce, Facebook, and Twitter peeps - check out the link to see the trailer!

Here's a lil sum sum about the movie!

Structured unlike any film before it, THE FOURTH KIND is a provocative thriller set in Nome, Alaska, where -- mysteriously since the 1960s -- a disproportionate number of the population has been reported missing every year. Despite multiple FBI investigations of the region, the truth has never been discovered.

Here in remote Alaska, psychologist Dr. Abigail Tyler (Milla Jovovich) began videotaping sessions with traumatized patients and unwittingly discovered some of the most disturbing evidence of alien abduction ever documented.

Using this never-before-seen archival footage alongside dramatizations, THE FOURTH KIND exposes the terrified revelations of multiple witnesses whose claims of being visited by alien figures all share disturbingly identical details.

THE FOURTH KIND has been rated PG-13 (Parents Strongly Cautioned - Some Material May Be Inappropriate for Children Under 13) for violent and disturbing images, some terror, thematic elements and brief sexuality.

You can check out the trailer, above and the G4 Interview with Peter Jackson and cast, below. Just do me one thing – when you see it this weekend…let me know if it catches YOU by surprise, like it did me…see, I thought it was going to be about aliens taking on humans…but found it really emotional...intense…like a deeper kind of movie…maybe it was the soundtrack…you’ll see what I’m talking about. After you see it – let me know what you thought about it.

It’s Complicated

Writer/director Nancy Meyers (What Women Want, Something’s Gotta Give, The Holiday) directs Meryl Streep, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin in It’s Complicated, a comedy about love, divorce and everything in between.

Jane (Streep) is the mother of three grown kids, owns a thriving Santa Barbara bakery/restaurant and has—after a decade of divorce—an amicable relationship with her ex-husband, attorney Jake (Baldwin). But when Jane and Jake find themselves out of town for their son’s college graduation, things start to get complicated. An innocent meal together turns into the unimaginable—an affair. With Jake remarried to the much younger Agness (Lake Bell), Jane is now, of all things, the other woman.

Caught in the middle of their renewed romance is Adam (Martin), an architect hired to remodel Jane’s kitchen. Healing from a divorce of his own, Adam starts to fall for Jane, but soon realizes he’s become part of a love triangle.

Should Jane and Jake move on with their lives, or is love truly lovelier the second time around? It’s…complicated.

The Mutant Chronicles - Mike's Movie Review

The Mutant Chronicles...saw it last night! It was MY Sunday Fun Day without the alcohol!

It was pretty dope flick…the way they filmed it reminded me of 300. The movie takes place on planet earth…a “future” earth though…it’s now divided into four "Corporations". While these corporations are fighting amongst themselves...some kind of freakish mutant creatures comes out of no where and decides…THEY want to take over the world and kill ALL mankind. The corporation’s decide to team up and work order to SAVE mankind. (You lost yet?)

Ok - these mutants are no joke though - in place of one of their arms - they have this blade thing. They pretty much slice and dice everything in their path. (LOL) Heads roll off quite easily!!

The Mutant Chronicles has blood and guts...everything that I like in a movie. (LOL)…and it's got a pretty cool cast as well. If you’re ever in the mood for non-stop action, shooting, eyes being poked out, heads being chopped off - this one's for you!

The Collector - Mike's Movie Review

I saw The Collector over the weekend...I've been waiting for a dope, slice and dice, bloody movie....and The Collector delivered! The movie starts off with a divorced guy - who needs to pay $$$ to his x-wife. (Tha dumb biatchh owes $$$ to lone sharks!)
He realizes the ONLY way he's going to get this money is to...ROB his current employer. (He's a house repair man)

He gets all his tools and heads to the crib. (Family is out of town) He breaks in...walks to the bedroom...and starts picking the lock. Well people, it doesn't stop there...while he's doing that - he hears noises...not a little rat noise...but, someone begging for their life. OH YEAHHHH...SOMEONE'S in the house...see, the family never left.

Arkin (the main dude) finally sees what's going on - the family is being tortured by this crazed freak. (This dude makes the Saw guy look like Mary Poppins!) Arkin realizes that on top of robbing the family...he now has to save them! But movie's not going to be easy - this freak of a killer has placed traps all over the freakin house!!

If you like the SAW type of flicks...The Collector is just for you and your date!! Fellas, take a girl with you...she'll be all over you like white on rice!!

Oh, and if you like ready. LOL. "Poor Poor Kitty!"

Martyrs - Mike's Movie Review

WOWWW, I checked out Martyrs last night before bed and I must say...THIS MOVIE IS NUTTZZZZZ!! Check out the trailer people. It's a really good twisted flick!

It's about a little girl named Lucie who escapes from this torture chamber warehouse...the police place her in a orphanage...where she grows up a little messed up. While she's there - she meets another little girl and they become the best of friends. (awwwww!!)

15 years later - the girls are all grown up. (yeahhh!!) BUT then, Lucie finds her "parents" who tortured her. (CRAZZYY shit!) She tracks them down....and well, you have to SEE what happens! It's crazy. Now, you think that's all the movie's gets even more twisted.

Pretty much during the whole movie...I was like, "WTF"...and the scary thing is - - people could really do this.

If you like twisted flicks - check out Martyrs. Oh, be prepared to READ the's got subtitles.

The Zombie Diaries - Mike's Movie Review

I just watched this flick - it was called, The Zombie Diaries. It's basically your typical zombie flick...mysterious plague spreads all over the planet - people who die...come back as zombies. This movie's a cross between any zombie movie and Blair Witch Project. You know, the whole running with the camera shit. Yeah, but in this one - it's like EVERYONE has a video camera - documenting the whole zombie attack.

I have to admit it though...I was lost. Total lost.

Check out the trailer and see what YOU see.
